Travel books

The Gibson Library holds very many books describing the travels of explorers and simple travellers, describing what and who they found, what they thought of their findings.

The Gibson Library's collection of these books is still being collated, and the following list will be extended over the coming months - but starts with Africa.

There are many travel books of Africa, and hence they have been divided into two lists - books up to 1860, and books after 1860.

Later sections will deal with other continents.
