In addition to the Local Studies Subject Boxes the Library holds a large selection of books - professional and amateur - regarding all sorts of aspects of life in many villages and towns, plus works by local authors from those locations (Saffron Walden and Essex will have their own pages). The listings have just one entry although sometimes we have multiple copies; if at least one copy is borrowable it is described as that.
