Photographer, Ernest Edwards (1807-1903)
Very little is known about Ernest Edwards except that he owned the Photogravure photography company at 20 Baker Street, London. He managed to photograph an astonishing number of eminent people and soon after the publication of the book he migrated to the United States in 1885, where he is remembered for his beautiful cityscape photographs. He was an inventor and invented the heliographic process, and clever cameras to take wide angle photographs. Ironically no photographs of him seem to have survived.
